Snow Load Durability Testing

Design
The GenTent canopy is designed with steep slopes and a smooth surface that naturally helps snow slide off instead of piling up. While a small amount of snow can collect near the center, most of it sheds easily, reducing stress on the structure.

What the testing showed
To test extreme winter conditions, an independent product testing firm, 360 Product Testing, simulated the weight of very heavy, wet snow. They placed a controlled load on the center of the GenTent equal to the weight of about 20 inches of dense, water-logged snow.

The result?
The GenTent fully supported the load without any structural damage.

The flexible support rods bent as intended under the weight, and mounting components shifted slightly, but nothing broke or failed. Once the weight was removed, all parts returned to their original shape with no permanent damage on either traditional generators or inverter models. The bottom line:
GenTent is built to handle serious snow, even heavy, wet snowfall that can damage or collapse lesser covers. It maintains its strength and shape while helping shed snow naturally.

In short: GenTent stands up to heavy winter snow.
